School Librarian/ Learning Resources Manager

We require an enthusiastic, self-motivated Librarian/Learning Resources Manager for our recently refurbished School Library. A library qualification (degree or post-graduate diploma) or a number of year’s relevant School Library experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Ideally the successful applicant should have experience of managing a School Library, working with the 11-18 age group and have good ICT skills. Experience of Softlink’s Oliver LMS v5 would be an advantage. The successful candidate will need to manage, maintain and promote the school’s e-library platform.
St Gregory’s is a very successful, over-subscribed mixed Catholic secondary school with a 6th Form offering high academic standards within a disciplined, supportive and friendly environment.
In addition to the day-to-day tasks of running the Library, the person appointed would need to work with teaching staff, to help raise pupils’ library and literacy skills and continue to promote the use of the Library to teaching staff.
The school is firmly committed to CPD and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils. All staff will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. A respect for the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.
