Vacancy: Educational Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor for Maths
Hours per week: ETA 11 hours per week and Cover Supervisor 2 hours per week
Working days: Thursday and Friday
Working weeks: Term Time plus 1 day
Grade: ETA Grade 6, Cover Supervisor Grade 7
Salary: ETA £5,180 – £5,607. Cover Supervisor £1,082 – £1,148.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Educational Teaching Assistant to support our successful Maths department. This role will also incorporate cover supervision duties within the Maths department for a maximum of 2 sessions per week. The salary is a combination of scales to reflect the duties.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Maths teaching staff to implement and oversee agreed work programmes with individual and small groups of students by supporting progress through intervention. This intervention will be in the form of extraction groups and in-class support. Competence in understanding and delivering GCSE Maths content up to grade 5 is essential.
You will need to be able to work collaboratively and flexibly and build good relationships with both students and staff, demonstrating a respectful and caring attitude towards everyone in school. Experience of working with children in a school environment and having the appropriate literacy to support students is required.
