Learning Support Assistant and Mentor
Grade D5-6 at D5 £14,519.78 p.a.
33.75 hours per week. 39 weeks per year
8.30 am – 3.45 pm to include a 30 minute unpaid lunch
This is a permanent support staff post
The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Learning Support Assistant and Mentor to join a vibrant and happy school where staff are committed to raising student attainment. The Learning Support Team are committed to improving the outcomes of individuals within the school. The role will involve working with a teacher in the classroom and also involve small groups and 1:1 activities in the Learning Support area.

The Key Purpose of the Post:
To work under the guidance of the deputy SENCO and Assistant Headteacher for learning support within the agreed system of supervision to implement agreed intervention programmes with small groups and individuals in or out of the classroom to help them overcome barriers to learning.
To improve outcomes for different student groups
To support students who have difficulty with one or more of the four broad areas of need.
