St Benedict Catholic Academy Trust is seeking an inspirational and dynamic Headteacher to join St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School. You must be passionate about inclusion and social justice, with a clear understanding of how primary education shapes children’s early development and creates strong foundations for lifelong learning.

St Anthony’s is a well-established, two-form entry Catholic primary school in the Archdiocese of Southwark, serving the community of East Dulwich for over 140 years. The school is rooted in strong Gospel values and benefits from a close partnership between home, school and parish.

The children are enthusiastic, well-behaved and proud of their school. They are eager to learn and thrive in an environment where creativity, achievement and continuous improvement are encouraged. Staff are dedicated, experienced and committed to providing high-quality teaching and learning, supported by a knowledgeable and supportive Governing Body. The school benefits from excellent facilities following redevelopment.

We are seeking a practising Catholic leader who:

• Has a strong personal faith with a clear and ambitious vision for Catholic education

• Can bring Gospel values to life in all aspects of school leadership

• Has high expectations and places pupil achievement and well-being at the heart of their vision.

• Demonstrates integrity, initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire pupils and staff

• Is forward-thinking and committed to continuous improvement

• Has a passion for educating the whole child through a broad and engaging curriculum

• Is committed to strengthening links between home, school, parish and the wider community

• Has a proven track record of leadership within a primary school setting

As a Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, we are committed to preserving and developing our Catholic character. All staff are expected to support these values.
